Background
Barry graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Western Ontario in 1981. He was called to the Bar in 1983. Barry is a partner. Barry practices insurance litigation with a focus on disability insurance, municipal liability claims, casualty and property claims (including construction claims, sexual abuse claims, professional liability claims), coverage disputes and automobile insurance (tort). Barry is a member of Toronto Lawyers Association, Canadian Bar Association, The Advocates’ Society, Defence Research Institute and Canadian Defence Lawyers. He was the Chair of the Insurance Section CBA in 1991, and the CBAO Annual Institute in Insurance Law in 1990, 1991 and 1992. He is a lecturer at the Law Society of Upper Canada, Canadian Bar Association and has spoken at other continuing legal education programs.
